Hello, Oyster Lovers! Welcome to the first coverage of our famous & annual Oyster Festival for 2018. We are so happy to announce it is back bigger & better than ever for an entire month that you do not want to miss, August.
Celebrating its 6th year, we are ready to satisfy those salty seafood hankerings, Sean Connolly and the team at The Morrison invite you to get out of your shell and dive into an array of shucking good fun, food & drinks – serving up hundreds of slipper suckers everyday. Of course, we had to launch this significant milestone with a partyyyyyy. Tuesday 17th July we invited a number of our media, family & friends along to enjoy all that we have to offer starting 1st August. Below is the highlights reel…
The Oyster Station
It’s can’t be an oyster party without an epic oyster line up. We created an interactive experience for all our guests…Feeling adventurous & wanting to jazz up your oysters? We had our ‘Dressed To Impress‘ selection of dressing on offer to suit everyone’s tastes. Including our Young Henrys ‘Captain Barnacle’ Spiced Oyster Stout Reduction, XO Shallot & Fermented Chilli, Sean’s Spicy Bloody Mary (R18) & Tanqueray Gin & Tonic Granita (R18).

A dash of seduction. You cannot deny the old aged love affair between oysters & champagne. Moet NV Ice Imperial was our drop of choice for the night (& throughout August). Be teased by its seductive palate and its elegant maturity with the joyful display by its bright fruitiness & lively bubbles.
The Perfect T&T Serves
We are so proud to announce a month of Tanqueray, a 180-year-old London Dry Gin. We kicked it off with a range of T&T (Tanqueray & Tonic) drinks on offer throughout the night including two of their brand new Gin releases.
- Tanqueray Flor De Sevilla – signals the bittersweet serville orange profile & cues of the sun-soaked Mediterranean.
- Tanqueray Rangpur – a citrus twist that has the zestiness of lime & the juiciness of mandarin oranges.
Tanqueray’s distinctive fruity flavours are a perfect match with the salty, briny notes of oysters.
One’s company, two’s a crowd, and three’s a party! O what a night. We are always so blown away & humbled by the support we continuous receive, year on year. Thank you to everyone who came & ate way too many oysters, snapped the night away & provided the most amazing energy in the room, we are so grateful. Can’t wait to see you all in August for more good times & delicious food.
The Young Henrys Team
Dark & mysterious with a light brown head reminiscent of churning sea form. Our friends from Young Henrys have made us a specialty Oyster Stout beer with the name ‘Captain Barnacle’ (how good!). Made with 40 whole oysters, it takes you straight to the seaside with a nose of salt & all things aquatic. We were lucky enough to have Stocko, Myles, Matty & Oscar join us for a night filled with brews & bivalves fun.
