Celebrating its 6th year, the annual Oyster Festival (1st – 31st August) is back to satisfy those salty seafood hankerings. Sean Connolly and the team at The Morrison invite you to get out of your shell and dive into an array of shucking good fun, food and drinks – serving up hundreds of the slippery suckers every day throughout the month of August.

Shuck Yeah!

Oyster Festival shell-ebrates fresh oysters sourced from over 50 regions of Australia, from farm to table with Sean Connolly’s favourite oyster dishes on the menu (including Beer Battered Oysters with mushy peas and bits) it would be shucking crazy not to try these delectable treats.

 

Check out classics such as his Carpetbag Steak – a tender eye fillet stuffed with oysters and dijon mustard, served with a rich red wine jus!

$1 Oyster Hour

Get your bivalve fix at a buck a shuck every night of the month, 6-7pm!

 

KEEN TO SKIP THE LINE? Between 5-5:30pm purchase any drink at the bar ($6 Morrison Hour runs daily from 5-7pm) & you’ll be able to pre-order your slippery suckers to beat the queue.

 

* Served in the main bar area, for walk-ins only, we cannot take bookings. Please prepare for a little bit of a queue, but we promise our oysters are worth the wait! See you there.

Bottoms Up

A dash of seduction – immerse yourself in the age old love-affair between oysters and champagne and treat yo’self to a bottle of Moet NV Ice Imperial!

 

For those who’ve already earned their sea-legs, try a the perfect Tanqueray & Tonic (T&T) serves. Or a Verdita oyster shooter laced with Don Julio tequila, flavoured with a herbaceous concoction of pineapple, jalapeno and mint.

Captain Barnacle

Oyster Stout – $8

 

A specialty brew by our friends at Young Henrys. Dark & mysterious with a light brown head reminiscent of churning sea foam, this stout takes you straight to the seaside with a note of salt & all things aquatic. Brewed with 40 oysters, the marine character follows you through to the palate, where the roasted malts take over & curry you back to land for a crisp, dry finish.
